This past Winter in Florida was hotter than the previous year. Spring has been different, too, even my allergies feel better with every passing year.
As in our lives, there is never one season like the other. The Bible says there is a time for everything, which means some seasons will be exciting to experience, while others, not so much. One will be full of joy and laughter, while the other, full of tears and sorrow.
I’ve just gone through one that brought me much learning, about where I was and where I wanted to be. I learned more about myself, how I connect to both my present reality and the people around me, and learning how to tactfully deal with some current struggles.
I know blogging has been and will be a great way for me to share those things about my journey towards simple living, good or bad, and I’m excited to see what lies ahead. Living a lifestyle that aligns with the things I value the most is what brings me great joy, ultimately.
I’ve been spending more time praying, studying God’s Word and fellowshipping with other believers, and I realized I honestly didn’t miss being online that much. It just doesn’t have that grip on me as it used to, and I can vividly remember life before the internet fought for our attention. So I’ve been a bit MIA, no regrets here.
Also, it was time to change things up a bit and by that I mean the website name. I wasn’t really connected with the old one anymore, so Hello, Mary Ace is more of a general name and I’m not so limited in topics to blog about.
With that being said, I pray you may live each season as if it were the last; that you may make the most of each opportunity, struggle, regret. Life is both a classroom and a teacher, and I’m constantly reminded that there’s always room to grow. And may we all learn, receiving and giving grace while we’re at it. The lessons are well worth it.
