Maybe it was watching the news too much. Maybe it was my worrier nature, or the high crime rate in this city, or maybe it was my husband's cautious words that flooded my psyche and drowned me in a sea of fearfulness and anxiousness.

Thoughts on Instagram Hiatus

A little over a month ago I posted about taking a social media and blog hiatus during the month of December, specifically Instagram since I felt a bit addicted. I must say the results confirm my suspicions.

A Wonderful Time

This December, the last month of the year, take a moment to review your life and recent days. It's a good time to question the things you buy, the things you do, the habits you have, and the people you relate to. 

On the Road

With busyness and hurry controlling our lives, we deceive ourselves thinking that tailgating the car in front of us will get us where we need to be faster, but it won't. Remember: if you hit that car, you're automatically at fault; at least in Florida you are. 

Fall Hygge in Florida 

The typical Summer humidity is slowly being replaced by a not-so-warm, but not a cool, Fall breeze. And so Autumn hygge begins in Florida. Well, sort of. 

Dispose

I have learned so much while on this journey of slow living and simplicity, and one thing is definitely worth noting: it takes more effort to dispose than to acquire.
